This little-known gem is from Chris Laning’s hybridizing program with attractive foliage with broad, pointed leaves and upright growth. Sturdy stems easily support the flowers without support. Closed buds protect the flowers from spring rains, avoiding the black centers common to other yellow hybrids. Rare and choice. Blooms very early.
