[R. Klehm 2003] Herbaceous Hybrid: Large single flowers in rich red have a velvety matte finish and good substance. Petals are ruffled and dance just above the foliage with a light breeze. Excellent substance.  Rich green foliage on vigorous plants.  Plants produce pollen but no seed.  They do, however, produce empty seed pods late in the season that are vibrant pink and create the illusion of a second flowering season. Blooms early.
