[Laning 1993]  Itoh: This pretty intersectional peony is a vigorous and robust grower with dark green foliage that stays attractive late into the fall. Flowers are an unusual old rose pink with warm, brick red overtones and dark purplish flares that intensify as the flowers age for a most unusual effect. Shrubs are lush, full and quick to establish. Generous bloom with buds opening over an extended period.  Midseason.
